I see more Crystal used by locals in Louisiana than Tabasco, but I was there a couple of years back. Did it change?

I don’t think instacart user base correlates. Using Instacart purchase data alone is methodologically flawed. Not even close to accurate data. Instacart users are a niche groups themselves this fails any triangulation research and eliminates the majority of the population.

As someone who grew up in South Dakota, I didn’t even know Heinz made a hot sauce. I’m a Louisiana guy through and through.

Tapatio has been in my house for my entire life… so yes i agree

Shouldn’t the Pacific Northwest be aardvark? And the only reason New England is franks is because of buffalo wings. Other wise it would be Tabasco

  9. suorastas

So everyone in the south goes for Louisiana except Louisiana?

I lived in the PNW for nearly 40 years and I’ve never once heard of sky valley, this map is sus.

I would’ve thought NJ would be Buldak due to all the Koreans here

Been in the PNW for the past 12 years and I’m a spice fiend always on the lookout for new sauces.

I’ve never heard of, let alone seen Sky Valley.

    I don’t think that’s what uniquely means.

  14. Illinois is very regional and cuisine dependent. Cholula is everywhere in Chicago but if I’m at a fried chicken place(that doesn’t have their own mild sauce) will have Louisiana Hot Sauce.

How TF you gonna not put Texas Pete in Texas

I suppose this might upset someone but I’m in Kansas and I’ve literally never even heard of Spanish Gardens. Most places around here have either Cholula or Louisiana on their tables…

    I don’t know, I don’t work for InstaCart. 🤷

  18. Jeffery_Moyer

Instacart costs you more to live and limits your choices to favor thier bottom line.

I think New Mexico’s should be Sadie’s. Monroe’s is more popular down south, but i haven’t seen much in Santa Fe.
